Shawnee Mountain is a great place to introduce the kids to skis or boards. They have hands-on affordable plans for kids as young as three thanks to their SKIbaby program. Children ages four to six can sign up for SKIwee (ski lessons) or WEEriders (snowboarding program). They even offer Mommy & Me classes where a parent and child can learn together. If your kids are a little older, they have lessons on skis or snowboards for ages seven to 15 for only $100. All packages include a one-hour lesson, equipment rental and lift ticket. What if the kids aren't into the snow?
There's child care for only $5 per hour ($40 per day) so you can hit the slopes without them.
