Whether you're looking to pop a squat and enjoy a picnic or just have your little ones run (and run and run) in a safe space, Boulevard Crossing Park (south of Grant Park) is a great go-to. The five-acres of open space features two huge activity fields that hold recreational games, but if there aren't any scheduled games, it's free for your family to enjoy! A fun fact: The invasive plant Kudzo (known as the "vine that ate the south") once covered the entire park. The BeltLine, however, was able to eradicate the plant with the help of some hungry friends—goats!
